Calling all Greystone ladies! It’s time to celebrate summer’s grand finale at our one-of-a-kind Grecian Goddess Night. The GLC has a top-notch season unfolding and this is our fabulous opening act! Get ready to indulge your inner goddess and join the evening’s festivities. Whether you opt for resort wear or really go creative with full goddess attire (don’t be shy!), we’ll enjoy lots of laughs and friendship as we mingle poolside.
The evening will be jam-packed with special festivities and exciting prizes:
- Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine/beer, courtesy of GGCC;
- Door prize drawing for $500 gift certificate to Diamonds Direct;
- Pop-up shop and 20% off coupons from HaMi boutique;
- Photo op in Grecian-themed cabana;
- Door prize for “best dressed” goddess;
- Drawing for $150 gift certificate to Chuck’s (must join/pay new season GLC membership by Aug. 20 and must be present to win!)

- Witches will circle the Green twice before inviting children with bicycles to join behind the witches for third and final lap

- Don’t fly off yet! The Block Party at the Green kicks off immediately following the Witches Ride.

- Kids, bring your bewitching bicycles and join the witches on the final lap around the Green!
- Sure, the witches love the spotlight — but don’t miss your opportunity to shine! Come dressed in your Halloween best for a chance to win Best Kid’s Costume or Best Family Costume!
- Block Party at the Green kicks off immediately following the Witches Ride! Get ready for a monster-packed good time! Kids can:
- Mummy March: March, stomp, or slither through the crowd showing off their best monster moves—walk like a zombie, wobble like a mummy, or stomp like a monster.
- Face Painting: Transform into ghouls, glittery pumpkins, superheroes, and more at our festive face painting station.
- Pumpkin Patch Contest: Bring a decorated pumpkin from home for a chance to win “Best Decorated Pumpkin”! Carve it, paint it, bedazzle it—anything goes.
- Spooky Showcase: Watch a special performance by Mount Laurel Ballet, then join in to learn the iconic moves to Thriller!
- Snack Time: Grab a treat from Heavenly Donuts food truck—delicious donuts and Halloween goodies await.
- Wickedly Good Reads: Visit the Hoover Public Library Bookmobile to check out the latest books, renew library cards, or sign up for a new account.
- Bring your spooky spirit and your generosity — donations to support YMCA Greystone are warmly welcomed. Your support helps provide childcare, activities, sports, and swim lessons to families in need.

Ready to get your creative juices flowing? GLC is offering a wonderful way to express yourself artistically in the new year. No art experience needed!
Our own Sue Nuby will lead an after-hours “Watercolors at Twilight” paint party. Participants will gather in the early evening to paint a beautiful 5 x 7” monochromatic bird in cobalt blue watercolor, as inspired by classic Delftware designs.
Beginner- friendly - no drawing required.
This special class will be limited to 20 participants, so be sure to register as soon as possible! Registration email goes to membership January 15 with a registration deadline of January 22.
